One must remain courageous to endure the journey
of healing herself. At times she must necessarily face arduous
tasks that may seem everlasting. Great tenacity is a prerequisite
for success. For her to remain persistently on the path requires
her acquisition of never-ending patience. Upon surrendering to
the disease, her long awaited breakthrough becomes realized.
Life is meant to be a challenge that is treasured. Any success
that comes to us too easily will usually seem less meaningful
to us than it was meant to be because all that we can truly cherish
must be earned in some manner. Everything that is appreciated
must hold value, be respected and admirable. Getting to this
desired destination requires “the big C word” commitment. Commitment
is a strong word, however those who do not persevere and lose hope
are bound to fail. Winners never quit and quitters never win.
In 1999 I had almost lost all hope. I was divorced, had abandoned
my life dreams and was living without passions. In an effort
to escape from my past I had journeyed north from LA to Santa
Barbara California. My situation had become desperate.
I was seeking a new life but was managing terribly at doing
so. Within six months my health further declined. At my worst,
taking nineteen pills a day to maintain my stability, I soon
discovered that obtaining the help and guidance that I needed
for my recovery was beyond my reach and had to return to LA.
Turning point was a conversation I had with Paul Arroyo, from
the Motivating Tape Company. I let Paul know how out of balance
my life had become. He suggested that I list the five most important
things to me and then get back to him. |
After giving this some thought I went to my desk
and started writing. Within an hour a list was created that included
things like a fantastic love relationship, a happy family, lots
of friends, a successful career, heaps of money, a comfortable
home, great health, and world travel. I picked out the top five
and then asked Paul what I was to do next with this list. He
simply said to order them in importance and then starting with
the top of the list work my way through it.
I eagerly went back to my think tank and started arranging
and rearranging the order of my list. I asked myself over and
over, “What
is most important?” The sorting process was easier than I
had imagined, since my subconscious mind already knew all of the
answers that my conscious mind never focused on before.
My greatest self-discovery was about to unfold. Within seconds
I quickly realized that my number one driving and motivating
force is my health. Without it, I truly cannot enjoy anything
else. How simple and yet profound an exercise this was. With
my blaring awareness I now had something to focus on and become
committed to.
Awareness of my inner spark propelled me into my upcoming five
year seven month mission that resulted in my physical body becoming
Rx free. Enlightening experiences followed one after another.
Many incredible insights were gained. A system for my self-healing
was nurtured and developed. Now I have much to share.
