Do you ever wonder
what may be blocking you from having more enjoyment in your life?
What keeps you from having more of what you really want? Have
you ever wondered what it would take for you to have a really
fulfilling life?
If so, you are not alone. As human beings we naturally desire ‘more’…and
why not? Life is our playground and we are meant to have all that
we want. In my experience, there are many ingredients that go into
the mix of having a life that is truly fulfilling, including the
following five key elements. When they are actively present in
your life, they pave the path to having a life that truly works.
(1) A working knowledge of The Law of Attraction that is integrated
into your life. It is one thing to understand this important
universal law intellectually. It is another to demonstrate it
consistently day by day in your life. You may have seen or read
The Secret, thinking you now “know” the key to the power of the
Law of Attraction. Actually, it takes time to learn to use any
tool before our lives begin to show up as we want it consistent
with the principles of the law.
(2) Be fully present in the now moment. Gaining a basic understanding
of the power of being present in the now by watching Oprah’s
teleclass series with Eckhart Tolle or reading Tolle’s or
other books, can awaken our awareness of the power of being present.
Yet we often need assistance to make the journey from living in
our stories about the past and the future to experiencing the magic
of “now.” For most of us, reading and understanding
is not enough. We need a laboratory to experiment and create the
habit of coming from a “now” perspective.
(3) Let go of holding on to the past and use the energy we
have to forge the life we desire. Rather than living in the past
or at the effect of the past, consider the possibility of looking
at what gifts you received by experiencing your past. For example,
is there something that you feel you needed that you did not
get in your childhood? Are you still looking for that? What if
you were to give what you did not get to others? I have found
that as we contribute to others that which we feel we did not
receive ourselves, we begin to experience emotionally having
what we desperately wanted and needed. This step is pivotal in
allowing us to move from victimization into wholeness. By giving
to others what we feel we did not receive, we fill this need
in ourselves and begin to create the live we want. |
This perspective brings another gift to us. As we give away what
we feel we did not receive. We can the easily forgive those
that we feel harmed us.This frees us up energetically. Once
again, it is not enough to get this concept intellectually.
The power comes from living it consistently in our lives. Many
times our ego plays tricks with us by denying that we have
issues with the past. In addition, in our predominantly left-brain
oriented culture, we receive the subconscious message that
if we understand a concept intellectually, we have it handled.
In truth, awareness is merely the important first step.
(4) Live your life on purpose. Each of us is de-serving (in
Latin this translates to “about serving”). As we get in touch
with our vision, our passion and our purpose, we become actively
engaged in living these out. As we do this, we experience true
personal fulfillment and we have the happiness and joy that we
desire.
(5) Keep it alive. Lastly, and most importantly, we need to
nourish these perspectives by living them consistently in our
every day lives. To accomplish this, we need to surround ourselves
with true friends who will “tell it like it is,” and
personal coaches and mentors who are skilled in, and living, these principles.
As we change and grow and adopt new life perspectives, we need assistance maintaining
shifts that support us in having a life that works.
We humans are dynamic beings. Our souls are in a natural evolutionary
process that is occurring within us whether or not we consciously
know it. I believe there is a reason Spirit put all of us together
on the same planet. I believe we can all help each other to actually “experience” peace and happiness.
Some people are more skilled, trained and committed to assisting us in this journey.
If you follow your intuition, you will know when the next right and perfect resource
for you shows up.
Life is constantly giving us opportunities to learn and grow
and shift. Then one day, we realize we have what we desire. This
gives birth to the next desire. And the journey continues.
